Who god is:

His plan of salvation

Do you want to know God better? The world says there are many ways to accomplish that, but God says there is only one. The world says there are many doors you can go through to get to God, but God says there is only one. When you think about it, God has made it amazingly easy for us to get to Him, but the world has been complicating it for centuries.

If He'd made it difficult and given us a list to work at to get into Heaven, then most of us would work hard and put our trust in our own abilities to earn the right to know Him in all His purity and goodness. But because He asks something so simple, it often offends the mind. "How can it be that all I have to do is believe that God exists and that He made a way for me -- an imperfect mortal -- to be in relationship with Him?" It's called faith. It is the currency of Heaven. And it also purchases everything you need to find true happiness and fulfillment on earth. God wants to supply your every need.

You see, other religions say, "You need this savior or that spiritual leader," but Christianity is different. True, you need Jesus, but the fact of the matter is that Jesus needs YOU. He wants a relationship with you. He doesn't want you to work for Him or be enslaved to Him, He just wants to know you. He wants you to know Him. If you have that relationship here on earth, then when you leave this earth and die, He will know you and welcome you to be with Him. It's that simple.

Think about it: God has everything. He owns all the wealth and all of creation. There's nothing that exists that which He did not create and cannot own and control. Except one thing: Your will and heart. He loves you so, and when you in turn choose to love Him back, it makes His heart glad.

There's nothing we could do to deserve relationship with God because darkness cannot co-exist with light. No matter how hard mankind has worked at being good, we still live in a dark world that is full of evil. God was in Heaven full of light, and we were down here in a world that was dark, and so He had to make a way for us to understand His light and see it without it blinding us. He decided to come dwell among us as a man.

In order to be born into the world, He found a young virgin named Mary and placed a child within her womb. The child was a gift from Heaven to the earth to show us who God really is, and so, He called Him a "son." His name was Jesus. You see, God had a son, but He wanted a family, and so by understanding who that Son is and by believing in Him, you become a part of that family.

Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship. A relationship with the Almighty God, made possible by His son, Jesus Christ. You can read in the Scriptures below about how Jesus not only came to live on the earth, but how He also died on the earth as part of a divine plan: God allowed His son to be crucified on a cross as an act to take on the sins of the earth, and then 3 days later raised Him back to life. It astonished everyone. His death and resurrection was documented not only in the Bible, but by historical documents and court records too.

Through this dramatic act, God now had a way to prove that life was stronger than death, and so, it is through this very simple plan that you too now have a way to conquer death. Yes, by believing that Jesus Christ died for you, you will have eternal life. When you die here on earth, you will wake up in Heaven.

CONSIDER THESE SCRIPTURES:

Realize That God Loves You

God loves you and has a plan for your life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners

Our sins have separated us from God. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

God Made Man in His Own Image

He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. Sometimes, we choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.

God's Word Says That Sin Must Be Paid For

For the wages of sin is death.... Romans 6:23

Wages Means Payment

The payment of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.

The Good News is That Christ Paid for Our Sins!

All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

We Must Personally Pray and Receive Christ by Faith

The Bible says, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

Pray and Receive Christ as Your Savior

Lord, I know that I am less than perfect in many ways -- a sinner. If I died today, I'm not sure I would go to heaven. Forgive my sin, come into my life and be my Savior. Help me live for you from this day forward. I invite the Holy Spirit to not only seal me, but to completely fill me with His power which will bring change into my life. Guide me, Father God. Love me, Jesus. Baptize me, Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name, Amen."

The Bible says, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

Also, John the Baptist said, "I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." Mark 1:8

Stop right now and ask God for this to be made evident in your life. We can help you be baptized in water, as well as further explaining the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the benefits of the spirit-filled walk.
