An Interview with

Brian Frost

Can you water ski backwards and paint/draw a picture at the same time? Brian can’t either, but he likes to do both of these separately. The painting and drawing is something Brian has not been trained in but found he likes to do after being asked to paint at an Easter Sunday service years ago. He still has to get past the “nervousness” at times but considers it a privilege to offer this sometimes rough gift to the Lord so that others might be encouraged.

Brian is married to Susan and they have one son and daughter-in-law, Drew & Faith. Brian is an engineer/designer and has worked at various manufacturing facilities around middle TN. He very well may have designed some power equipment in your garage.

As for getting to water ski backwards… He usually has to wait for visits with family in Michigan.

AN INTERVIEW WITH

Susan FROST

I am a daughter to two, a sister to eight, a cousin to ten, a wife to one, a mother to one, a mother-in-law to one, an aunt to fifty-six and counting, a leader to some,  and a friend to many.  I am a student, a teacher, an accountant, an employee, and a co-worker.  I love traveling and making the most of every opportunity that comes my way. From hosting exchange students who steal my heart and become family to traveling to other countries, I am passionate about reaching the nations for Jesus and building bridges between denominations. Courage, willingness, and much prayer are the basic guidelines for living. Life is an adventure I don't want to miss or waste.

What quality/trait do you admire most?

Gratitude. Others oriented focus. Discernment.

Annoyances:

When people are resistant to change or unwilling to see progress. Being misjudged.

Most traumatic experience:

A very serious car accident on deserted highway that left me literally hanging upside down held in place only by a seat-belt that had to be cut away once the rescue team arrived. It's a long story full of hope and healing. One day when we have time, we can meet for coffee and I will tell you all about it and just why I am convinced that God knows exactly where you are and what you need at every moment of every day.

Some of your biggest mistakes:

I am sure I've made them, we all have  ~ It's probably easier to say what they have in common than to choose one or two specific ones, so here goes:  Poor choices, Not standing up in the moment, and self reliance. Thank God, I am able to say that I have made really good progress and am a fast learner.

Favourite Websites:

themattwalshblog.com  www.aholyexperience.com, www.smellingcoffee.com

Favourite vacation spot:

Top Three:  Cork, Ireland,  Mackinac Island, MI,  Mill Creek Park Youngstown OH ~ okay, so no one actually vacations here but it really is one of the most beautiful, peaceful places on earth.

Dream Job:

Working side by side with my husband, Brian, in a highly creative atmosphere combining all forms of artistic mediums, writing, travel, and ministry opportunities.

Favourite TV shows, Books or Movies:

I don't often watch TV, so when I do, I want it to be really funny & clean, which is probably why I don't watch TV often. Books: The Meeting Place by Jeanette Okes, The Galway Chronicles by  Brock and Bodie Thoene, EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey, Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets, Parenting Isn't For Cowards by James Dobson, and 1000 Gifts by Ann VosKamp, Movies: Family Man, Saving Mr. Banks, The Breakfast Club,  and I love musicals ~ just about all of them. I have to be honest and say that I would much more prefer to watch a musical on stage than on film. My favorite theater experience: Mary Poppins on Broadway!

Pastimes:

Spending time with family, preferably outdoors, hiking, and or all things water: swimming, SUP, canoe, kayak ...

Music:

Worship music, Kari Jobe,  Celine Deon, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, Straight No Chaser, Pentatonix, The Beatles, Classical

Favourite Food:

Farm fresh fruits and veggies delivered to my front door each week from May through October by the farmer herself. No, it's not me, other wise it would be year round~ we belong to a community shared agriculture, commonly referred to as a "CSA". Best food decision ever!
